Can’t end the night without walking 500 miles, really.
John just told everyone here to get a Tumblr.
Ransom Riggs is here! What the what!
Just heard John Green read from TFiOS. Emotiooooooons.

I’ve been trying to suppress it, but the John Mulaney situation is too big to deny.

I just love hanging out with my Tiverton hoes so much. SO MUCH. We went to Gaucho Grill again for the tradition of Nice Food Times and it was so delicious, and we tried the sweetbread, and we all had the now legendary dulce de leche crepes. And the topics of conversation are just of the highest quality. Disney fanfiction, horsey whales, platypi, veal thyroids, Argentinian long division, porn for...

LOL Linda just hired my future husband.
I taught him how to feed the zebrafish this morning. I hope he likes tie dye shirts because I wore my most obnoxious one today.
rrclarkin replied to your post: rrclarkin: ugh I wish I was a hobbit. …
YOU HAVE A HOBBIT NAME? I WANT A HOBBIT NAME! HOW DO I GET A HOBBIT NAME?
I got my hobbit name back in 2001 (oh my goodness that is forever ago), and I’ve never forgotten it! I wasn’t sure if the site still existed but I just looked it up and it exists! http://chriswetherell.com/hobbit There’s also an...

NYTimes Best Sellers
edwardspoonhands:
I am sitting in a van right now listening to John Green talk to one of his best friends about how bad he feels about becoming a #1 best-seller on the New York Times list.
Need some backstory?
John met Ransom Riggs in college. They did an independent study on Ulsseys together. Randy was one of John’s groomsmen. They worked together at Mental Floss magazine and even...

Mostly these two.
rrclarkin asked: Okay so the whole Over the Misty Mountains Cold poem is like, super long. So do you think in the movie they'll sing the whole thing? Because this one little bit from the trailer is too damn short and I want more. PLEASE SAY YES YOU THINK THEY WILL.

Lol got tired of the Golden Globes real fast. But I did see Octavia Spencer ordering Bradley Cooper to hold her award for her and that was all I needed to see.

HELEN MIRREN IS SO HOT.
Just now watching The Golden Globes. (I was working in the ICU today—DKA patient, freaking cool!—and I saw a recap of it at lunch and I was like wtf, that happened already?! Behind the times as usual.)
Did I tell you guys that I saw Helen Mirren in Heathrow when we were in the customs line? I wanted to yell out her name but everyone was like shut up Laraine be cool don’t...

The New York F*^&ing Times Book Review
fishingboatproceeds:
I was so tempted to actually curse, tumblr! So tempted that I just split an infinitive talking about how tempted I was.
Anyway, the New York Times Book Review has reviewed The Fault in Our Stars, saying that it is a blend of melancholy, sweet, philosophical, and funny,” and that “[Green] shows us true love… and it is far more romantic than any sunset on the beach.”

TL;DR. Here's what happened on my first day of...
I got to the ICU and was told that my nurse was being floated. So I floated with her to the cardiac unit.
One of our patients was a 101-year-old lady. She was our healthiest.
She was in for pancytopenia. Other than that, she was completely alert and oriented, walking and talking.
I helped her walk to the bathroom. When I asked her if she needed help in there, she was like, “No!...

It’s weird how I’m not hungry after a 12-hour shift. I mean, the last time I ate was at 1 PM. It is now 9:30 PM.

Today I got up at 11:30 and stayed in bed for two more hours to read about dumb honorable Ned failing completely at playing the game of thrones. Then I made and ate a delicious breakfast while catching up on Sherlock. Then I called my preceptor and confirmed that I will have my first shift in the ICU tomorrow! Just now getting up from the couch. 4:50 PM, still in my polar bear pajamas.

So when I went to Uganda, I forgot to bring a notebook to use as a journal. I had to buy something from Heathrow on our London layover. Everything was incredibly expensive, so I ended up with this ugly little spiral bound thing that cost me FOUR POUNDS. And I wrote in it with this horrible blue ballpoint pen because for some reason I didn’t want to bring my Pilot g-tec.
I wrote a lot in it...
