(30/42) Honey-Oatmeal Sandwich Bread (1/2 whole wheat)
I made this almost two weeks ago, I was just to lazy to post it.
FINALLY, a decent sandwich bread with a soft, thin crust and tasty, dense crumb. The recipe called for all purpose flour, but I made it half whole wheat flour. I also added flax seeds and crushed walnuts. The dough was too dry when I was mixing it, so I gradually added about another cup of water until I got the texture I wanted.
This turned out really well. I was so happy with it that I envisioned myself never buying sandwich bread from the store ever again, but last week we ran out of apf flour, so nvm.
